A new communication app allows users to chat without having to access Wi-Fi or a cellular network. The app, known as MeshMe, operates on the principle of Mesh Networking and can accommodate chat for up to several users within 20-30 meters or 65-100 feet.

Mesh Networking will treat a smartphone device as a router and pass data onto the intended recipient using the most efficient path. Even if your smartphone serves as a node in the networking process, messages that are passed on cannot be accessed unless it was routed specifically to the app user.  The app will be particularly useful in scenarios where network access becomes overloaded, such as large events with numerous attendees.
