National Technical Systems Adds Wireless, Product Safety, International Approval Capabilities at Plano, TX Facility

National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTS), a leading provider of testing and engineering services, announced that its Plano facility is now offering wireless and product safety testing services and international product approvals. These new capabilities enhance the comprehensive set of testing and engineering services already in place at the Plano facility.

NTS Plano can fulfill current and future NTS customers’ needs in terms of licensed and unlicensed radio testing, product safety evaluations and testing, and the attainment of international product approvals. While not specifically limited to these technologies, the lab will be focusing on licensed and unlicensed low power devices that fall under FCC, Industry Canada, and R&TTE EU regulations. Product safety testing and evaluations services will focus on information technology equipment, medical devices, and other commercial, consumer, and industrial applied products.

The Plano facility, which currently consists of 50,000 square feet of laboratory space plus a remote 44,000 square foot test site, also offers extensive EMC (electromagnetic capability) testing services with seven EMC and EMI chambers including a large 10-meter chamber and two 3-meter chambers, EMP (electromagnetic pulse) testing, capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) testing, indirect lightning testing, air flow measurement capabilities and a full suite of environmental and dynamics testing capabilities including 18 chambers and five shakers, among other capabilities and services.
