MITEQ has announced the introduction of three new low noise, wideband and ultra-small coaxial LNAs and a rugged, single bias coaxial amplifier.
Model AMF-4D-02001800-20-13P covers the 2 to 18 GHz band, and has over 35 dB of gain in a housing that is only 0.89” long and 0.64” wide without the field replaceable SMA connectors. Gain flatness is a maximum of ±2.5 dB. The AMF-4D-02001800-20-13P has a maximum noise figure of 2 dB in the full band, though the typical value is 1.8 dB. This unit operates from -40 to +75°C, has an output P1dB minimum of +8 dBm, output IP3 of typically +23 dBm and a current draw of maximum 250 mA from a single +15V DC supply.
Model AMF-5F-02000800-09-10P operates in the 2 to 8 GHz band, and has over 42 dB of gain in a housing that is only 0.89” long and 0.64” wide without the field-replaceable SMA connectors. Gain flatness is a maximum of ±1.5 dB. The AMF-5F-02000800-09-10P has a maximum noise figure of 0.9 dB in the full band. This unit operates from -40 to +75°C, has an output P1dB minimum of +10 dBm, output IP3 of typically +20 dBm and a current draw of maximum 250 mA from a single +15V DC supply.
The aluminum alloy housing of both these models provides excellent thermal performance in addition to being very small and light. This model is also available in a hermetic version, higher power, various gain options, and as a RoHS compliant unit.
Model AMF-6D-01002650-50-25P is the latest addition to MITEQ’s family of rugged, single bias coaxial amplifiers. This amplifier has over 30 dB of gain from 1 to 26.5 GHz, in a housing that is only 1” long and 0.83” wide without the field replaceable K-connectors. Gain flatness is a maximum of ±2.5 dB, though typical is ±2 dB. The AMF-6D-01002650-50-25P has a maximum noise figure of 5.0 dB in the full band. This model operates from -40 to +75°C of base temperature, has a P1dB minimum of 25 dBm, IP3 of typically 32 dBm, and a current draw of maximum 600 mA from a single +15V DC supply. Composite metal body with a CuW base provides excellent thermal characteristics while the Kovar body allows for hermetic sealing if required. With its built-in sequencing, regulation and protection, only a single positive bias is required. Model is also available as RoHS compliant.
