MET Laboratories is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ). The MoU allows for a close co-operation supporting mutually accepted test and evaluation reports to facilitate the granting of respective National certification marks and/or certificates of conformity. Both MET Laboratories and SIQ are members of the IECEE CB Scheme, and will benefit from the mutual recognition of CB reports issued by either party.
Partnering with MET Laboratories, a leader in electrical product safety for more than 50 years, will expand the scope of SIQ’s electrical testing and certification services. Key industry sectors benefiting from this partnership include information technology, industrial control and process machinery, medical devices, battery chargers and gaming industry. This partnership will provide Slovenian manufacturers a cost and time effective way to access North American certifications.
ABOUT Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ): was founded in 1992 as the successor of the Institute of Quality and Metrology (IKM). SIQ is an EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing and calibration laboratory, a type-A inspection body according to EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard; a product certification body according to the EN 45011 standard; and an EN ISO/IEC 17021 management systems certification body.
