Lunera is recalling their Helen GX23 LED lamps because failure of internal voltage surge protection circuitry can make them overheat, posing fire, burn, and electric shock hazards. Lunera has received 11 reports of lamps overheating, so about 60,000 lamps are now being recalled in the U.S., plus an additional 1,000 that were sold in Canada.
The recalled LEDs were sold at FSG, Grainger, Nedco, Standard Electric and other Lunera industrial/commercial retailers, as well as online at www.1000bulbs.com and www.bulbs.com from October 2015 through December 2015 for about $25. The Lunera 13 watt Helen GX23 LED industrial lamp is a white, thermal plastic dimmable LED lamp with a frosted white plastic lens. The Lunera logo is printed at one end of the front of the lamp. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamps and contact Lunera for a full refund.
