Lekker is recalling about 2,200 Patriot Power generators because the battery sold with the generator can catch fire. There have been 13 reports of generator fires, as well as reports of smoke and strange odors.
The generators were sold exclusively online at www.4patriots.com from November 2014 through April 2015 for about $2,000, and manufactured in China. The recalled generators have serial numbers U14040001 through U14041092 and U14110001 through U14111092 printed on a sticker in the upper right hand corner of the rear panel of the unit.
Consumers are advised to stop using the generator immediately and contact 4Patriots to receive a replacement generator.
