Joseph Mohorovic to be Nominated as Consumer Product Safety Commission Commissioner

Last week, President Obama announced his intent to nominate Joseph P. Mohorovic as Commission of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Mohorovic is currently the Senior Vice President of Strategic Management of Intertek’s North American Consumer Goods division and has held the position since 2007. He has previously worked for the Consumer Product Safety commission from 2002 to 2006, first as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman and then as Chief of Staff and Director in the Office of International Programs and Intergovernmental Affairs.

If the nomination is confirmed by the Senate, Mohorovic would follow former Republican Commission Nancy Nord, whose term expired at the end of October.
