Isola Group S.á.r.l., a market leader in copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), announced that its newly renovated manufacturing facility in Taoyuan has received the Cleaner Production Certification from the Industry Development Bureau (IDB) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan. Isola is the first copper clad laminate (CCL) factory in Taiwan certified by the Cleaner Production Assessment Method Evaluation of the IDB. The certification recognizes Isola’s continued efforts to operate its business in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.
The Cleaner Production Assessment Method developed by the IDB is based on the concept of “cleaner production” as defined by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The assessment evaluates five primary factors: manufacturing, eco-design, green management, social responsibility and green innovation, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative components.
