Indian Government to Study Impact of Electromagnetic Field Radiation | In Compliance Magazine

A joint initiative was launched by the Indian Department of Telecommunication and Science of Engineering Research Board to study the possible impact of electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation on human life. The study will focus on EMF radiation exposure from cellular towers and mobile phones operating in 300MHz to 3GHz frequency band.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has shortlisted 79 out of 158 proposals from public and private institutions to be examined further for possible funding. The study is expected to last between two and three years, and the findings will be made available at the completion of the study.
