GVSU Electromagnetic Compatibility Center Helps Local Companies Design and Test New Electrical

The new center at the Grand Valley State University in Michigan is pairing engineering students with local companies to assist in developing and testing new products that will eventually enter the market.

The center is capable of providing pre-compliance testing, design support and education. The center features a compliance laboratory including three chambers that measure radiated emissions and immunity. The School of Engineering has close to 1800 students enrolled in engineering, with approximately 250 majoring in electrical engineering.
