Goal Zero Sherpa Battery Packs Recalled | In Compliance Magazine

Goal Zero LLC has recalled approximately 10,000 Sherpa Brand 50 and 120 rechargeable battery packs due to a fire hazard. The battery packs, used to charge electronic devices, can overheat, overcharge and melt the battery pack’s enclosure.

The battery packs can be recharged by an A/C wall outlet, 12V car charger, or attachable solar panel and come in black or silver. The company has received one fire report and two reports of property damage from overheating battery packs. Goal Zero is asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled battery packs and to contact them for a free replacement battery pack.
