General Motors Foundations Gives $130,000 Gift to Support Engineering and Business Programs

The General Motors Foundations provided Penn State University with a $130,000 check to support several student-centered efforts at the Engineering and Business colleges. The College of Engineering will receive $92,000, while the Smeal College of Business receives $38,000.

The gift from GM will support the Formula SAE automotive racing program, the Engineering Orientation Network, the Graduate Automotive Technology Education program as well as many other services for students. The College of Business’ portion of the gift will be used to sponsor the Women in Business student organization’s Powerful Women Paving the Way Conference, the Business Opportunities Summer Session program and other events.
