$1.4 million in funding has been awarded by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to six companies that are advancing battery and energy storage technology. The funding will help develop prototypes that prove the ability of advanced energy storage systems.
The funding will also help the transition from a proven technical feasibility to a working prototype. Creating more working prototypes is an essential phase in product commercialization and helps to increase a company’s opportunity to draw in additional investments for their products.
