Forest River Recalls RVs for Problems with Electrical System

RV Park SignForest River is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Dynamax Rev recreational vehicles (RVs) and 2016-2017 Coachman Orion RVs. These vehicles, built on RAM ProMaster chassis, have an ignition switch that may have an intermittent loss of electrical contact.

An intermittent loss of contact can result in a vehicle stall and/or a partial or complete loss of air bags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and/or instrument panel cluster. Loss of functionality with any of these safety systems can increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Jennifer Timian, Chief, Recall Management Division, NHTSA

To repair the defect, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) dealers will replace the ignition switch contact holder block, free of charge. However, the parts required for the repair are not available yet.
