Flat Screen Televisions Recalled For Fire and Burn Hazards

Eight retailers have issued recalls for Coby 32-inch flat screen televisions after the CPSC received six incidents involving the televisions overheating, smoking or catching on fire.

The retailers issuing the recalls are: ABC Warehouse, Fry’s Electronics, h.h. gregg, Nebraska Furniture Mart, P.C. Richard & Son, Sears/Kmart, Toys R Us and online at BestBuy.com, dealtree.com, techliquidators.com and bestbuy.dtdeals.com, and other stores and sites nationwide.

Consumers should immediately stop using the TV, turn it off and unplug it. The manufacturer is no longer in business but consumer should contact the retailer where their TV was purchased for replacement instructions.
