Vornado Air, LLC has recalled 79,000 Vornado VH110 Whole Room Vortex electric space heaters after receiving 29 reports of heaters overheating and melting.
The heaters are approximately 10.5 inches high, 9 inches deep, and 10.5 inches at the base of the unit. Recalled heaters have the numbers one and three as the fourth and fifth digit of the serial number, which can be found on a silver label on the bottom of the unit. The recalled heaters were sold in two colors, black and white, between June 2013 and May 2014 at major retailers. Consumers should unplug the heater, and contact the company for instructions to request a free replacement unit.
