FCC’s Rosenworcel Initiates Podcast Series on Women in Digital Technologies

The office of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has announced the launch of a new podcast series intended to highlight the contributions and potential impact of women to modern digital life.

According to a press release issued by the FCC, the new podcast series, entitled “Broadband Conversations,” features Rosenworcel speaking with women who are “breaking new ground and forging new paths in technology, media and innovation.” The conversations are intended to shed light on their current work and to explore their views on how to get women of all ages more actively involved in digital technologies.

“Women are almost half the labor force in this country, yet only hold barely a quarter of jobs in science, technology, engineering and math fields,” says Rosenworcel. “Because there are just too few, it’s time to amplify women’s voices from across the technology and innovation sectors.”
