FCC Fines Bay Shore Man for Jamming Fire Department Radios

A Bay Shore man was fined $25,000, and charged with obstruction of governmental administration for jamming emergency radios of the Melville, NY fire department.

Fire officials described the interference as gibberish chanting and heavy breathing that occurred at all hours of the day and night. Drew Buckley was operating a radio transmitter without a license and caused interference with licensed radio communications of the Melville fire department.
