FCC Accepting Applicants for Honors Engineering Program

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is now accepting applications for its new Honors Engineering Program.

The Program, which was announced earlier this year, is intended to introduce current and recent engineering school graduates to work with FCC personnel on cutting-edge technology issues in the communications and high-tech arenas. Potential areas of focus during the one-year development program include 5G communications technology, the national deployment of broadband services, and communications technologies intended to improve access to those with disabilities.

According to the FCC, participants who successfully complete the Honors Engineering Program will be eligible for consideration for continued employment at the Commission.

Applications for the FCC’s Honors Engineering Program are being accepted through November 30, 2018. Read a detailed description of candidate requirements and find access to the online application.
