Radio Equipment Directive Explained

The Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED) is a new Directive which superseded the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (RTTE Directive) 1999/5/EC on 13^th June 2017, after a one year transition period.

There are a number of major differences between the new RED and the one it has replaced, including the scope of the Directive.

The RED also brings with it a number of changes not just for manufacturers, but for all other entities in the supply chain wishing to place products on the market with a radio interface (such as Bluetooth or WiFi).

This one day course discusses all of these differences in order to help those affected by the changes understand the implications of the new legislation.
