The Commission of the European Union (EU) has amended the Annexes of the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU, also known as the RED) that detail harmonized standards that can be used to demonstrate conformity with the Directive’s essential requirements.
Published in February in the Official Journal of the European Union, Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/167 revises Annexes I and II, thereby verifying the use of six additional ETSI standards in support of RED. The Commission’s Decision also includes a revised Annex III, which stipulates dates of withdrawal for seven additional standards.
