EU Commission Releases Updated Standards List for its Radio Equipment Directive

The Commission of the European Union (EU) has published a list of standards that can be used to demonstrate compliance with the essential requirements of its Directive 2014/53/EU, covering radio equipment (also known as the Radio Equipment Directive, or RED).

The RED replaced the EU’s R&TTE Directive (1999/5/EC) in June 2016. While similar in many respects to the R&TTE Directive, the RED addresses a broader range of topics and complements many of the requirements of the EU’s recently recast EMC and Low Voltage Directives.

Published in September 2016 in the Official Journal of the European Union, view the updated list of standards replaces all previously published versions of the list. Access to the standards listing.
