The Commission of the European Union (EU) has published an updated list of standards that can be used to demonstrate compliance with the essential requirements of its Directive 2014/53/EU, covering radio equipment (also known as the Radio Equipment Directive, or RED).
The RED replaced the EU’s R&TTE Directive (1999/5/EC) in June 2016. While similar in many respects to the R&TTE Directive, the RED addresses a broader range of topics and complements many of the requirements of the EU’s recently recast EMC and Low Voltage Directives.
Read the complete list of standards for the RED was published in November 2016 in the Official Journal of the European Union.
