ETS-Lindgren Refocusing U.S. Manufacturing Locations for Better Customer Response

ETS-Lindgren has announced a refocusing of its U.S. manufacturing facilities to increase vertical integration, the ability to provide a greater control of in-house processes and an improvement in logistics efficiency.

With the new focus, medical production will be done in Minocqua, WI and test and measurement production will be out of Cedar Park, TX with support from Durant, OK. ETS-Lindgren will maintain operations outside of Chicago, IL for sales, engineering, design, project planning, installation and customer support.

These changes will be implemented over the next six months. Customers and suppliers will not see a change in the company’s business policies or practices, but are expected to benefit from this organizational change.

Near and Far Field Measurements with a Vector Network Analyzer

For optimal performance in over-the-air RF systems, antennas must meet specific requirements. Performance parameters like size, wind-loading, environmental ruggedness, transmission pattern, bandwidth, and power handling capability should be considered. Methods of measuring the transmission (or reception) pattern that determines antenna gain with a VNA will be examined in this article.
