The EMC testing market in Southeast Asia is expected to nearly double by 2019, due to increasing regulatory requirements in the region. A new report from consulting firm Frost & Sullivan estimates that EMC Test equipment revenue will grow from US $68 million in 2014 to reach $134.5 million in 2019. The firm attributes the projected growth to strong economic development in Southeast Asia, along with many countries recently adopting the International Electrotechnical Commission’s standards.
Despite this increased need for testing services, test labs will still be challenged to provide affordable services to manufacturers with tight budgets. Frost & Sullivan expects to see high demand for versatile equipment such as EMI test receivers and spectrum analyzers.
In the future, EMC test equipment manufacturers that offer integration services will have an edge over other competitors.
