Electrocution Hazard Prompts Recall of Travel Chargers for Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablets

A recall has been issued on travel charger kits for Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets due to an electrocution hazard. The plastic cover on the exchangeable plugs of the charger can come loose and separate, exposing internal components. If this occurs when the charger is plugged into a live socket, there is a risk of electrocution.

The charger kit was sold by AT&T and Verizon Wireless distributors between January 2014 and March 2014, and includes four different plugs for different electrical outlets. These kits were sold separately from the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets. Consumers with recalled chargers should stop using them and contact Nokia for instructions to request a refund from Verizon Wireless or credit from AT&T.

Check to see if your travel charger kit is included in the recall.
