Electrical Smart Meters Being Replaced Due to Fires

Electrical smart meters installed throughout the world are being replaced by utility officials because there have been numerous reports of the units catching fire and exploding. Portland General Electric has also stated that it will replace 70,000 smart meters due to the possible risk of fire and that the smart meter manufacturer has yet to issue a recall of the units.
