East West Manufacturing Adds Medical and Electronic Divisions to Vietnam Operations

East West Manufacturing has announced the addition of two divisions that will expand its Vietnam operations. East West’s Vietnam facility’s ISO 9001:2008 and ISO13485:2003 certifications support the new Medical Device Contract Manufacturing and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) divisions.  The divisions will be housed in the company’s wholly-owned, three-building complex located in the Binh Duong province of Vietnam.

“We are focused on helping our U.S. and European based customers grow their business and are excited to strengthen our presence in Vietnam by adding medical device and electronic manufacturing services to our already diverse offerings,” said Scott Ellyson, CEO and co-founder of East West Manufacturing. “We can now do more for our customers in one place, which we believe will lead to even more cost savings and efficiencies, while opening up new manufacturing and sales opportunities for them.”

The Medical Device Contract Manufacturing division will include Class II products which consist of plastic and metal parts and electro-mechanical assemblies for the medical device industry. Processes can include injection; insert and over-molding; pad printing; ultra-sonic welding; stampings; and complete assembly and packaging of finished goods.

A Dash of Maxwell’s: A Maxwell’s Equations Primer – Part Two

Maxwell’s Equations are eloquently simple yet excruciatingly complex. Their first statement by James Clerk Maxwell in 1864 heralded the beginning of the age of radio and, one could argue, the age of modern electronics.

The EMS division includes surface mount technology capabilities using state-of-the-art facilities with scalable manufacturing flexibility to manufacture printed circuit boards (PCBs) and complete box build assemblies. EW engineering team offers more than 100 years’ experience providing value-added solutions for new product development including design for manufacturability and design for testability (DFM/DFT).
