Some products were not assembled with an approved 2×100 watt medium base cluster. The non-approved cluster may allow the wires to either come into contact with the light bulbs or violate the UL/CSA standard of coming within 2 inches of the bulbs. This can cause overheating of the luminaire wiring.
As of February 2017, the company has received one report of short-circuiting in Canada. Approximately 48,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Consumers should immediately stop using the luminaires and contact DVI Lighting Inc.
