Duraflame Electric Space Heaters Recalled

Twin-Star has issued a recall for over 31,000 Duraflame-branded electric space heaters due to the possibility the heater can overheat, causing the heaters to melt and catch fire. There have been 32 reports received of heaters melting and burning and 8 reports of the heaters catching fire.

The recalled model, DFS-220, was sold in black, red and white and the flame effect looks like a fireplace and works with or without heat.  The units measure about 14.5 inches high, 13 inches wide and 8 inches deep. Consumers should immediately stop using the unit, unplug it and contact the manufacturer for a full refund.

Check to see if your electric space heater is part of this recall.
