Device Concurrently Sends and Receives Broadcast Signals Using the Same Frequency

Device Concurrently Sends and Receives Broadcast Signals Using the Same Frequency | In Compliance Magazine

A new high-performance capacitor developed by a team of researchers at UCLA uses the same frequency for sending and receiving information on one communication device without compromising speed or quality. The “distributedly modulated capacitor” or DMC operates across a band of the spectrum, ultimately reducing demand on the radio spectrum.

The DMC shifts incoming transmission to another frequency to be processed, leaving the frequency of the outgoing transmission unaffected. The device could be used to modify traditional wireless system infrastructures, and lead to the adoption of cognitive radio technologies.

Read more about the device that can simultaneously send and receive broadcast signals using the same frequency.
