Determining the Material of a Ferrite Core

Learn how to evaluate and re-engineer ferrite-based legacy components. Ferrite cores can be difficult to cross-reference as they have little in the way of distinguishing markings and many of the shapes are custom. A material analysis approach much be taken to accurately analyze these cores. This analysis needn’t be overly complicated to get an accurate estimation of the material that was used in the original component.
