According to an annual survey by Design News in partnership with Aerotek Inc, approximately nine out of ten design engineers are satisfied with their jobs.
“The value employees place on professional development and foreseeable career growth is quite apparent in the design engineering field,” said Hushedar Mehta, executive director at EASi, a subsidiary of Aerotek providing design and engineering solutions. “The takeaway for hiring managers is to provide workers with a clear path for career advancement – including opportunities for employees to hone their managerial skills – and not rest on the satisfaction design engineers find from exercising their problem-solving, technical and creative skills.”
