As part of their plans, the DoD will release some of their existing spectrum to share with the private sector where applicable. The strategy requires the Department to improve current and future DoD systems to make them more flexible to spectrum changes. Program managers will also be made more aware of how spectrum issues can affect their missions and operations, ultimately being able to identify issues that could impact their work.
