The recall for dehumidifiers that were made by Gree Electric Appliances has been expanded once again. The original recall was announced in September 2013 and additional models were added in January 2014 to include more than 2 million units.
The recall now includes additional Soleus Air models and has increased the date code to include additional units. Since the initial recall, the CPSC and company are aware of 471 overheating or smoking incidents, 121 fires and $4.483 million in property damage.
