Comprehensive TDK Data Book Features EPCOS Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

TDKTDK Corporation has published a fully revised data book on EPCOS aluminum electrolytic capacitors with the options of screw terminal, snap-in, axial and single-ended connections.  Along with previous, widely-used products, the data book also features many innovations, including a series of screw-terminal capacitors that feature a significantly improved current capability.  Also included are new ultra-compact types with a useful life of at least 12,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 85 oC.  Rated voltages range from 350 V DC to 550 V DC.

Further highlights are a series of snap-in capacitors covering a voltage range from 200 V DC to 550 V DC and with compact dimensions in addition to improved current capability.  The data book also presents numerous new capacitor types with higher rated voltages and a more compact design for automotive applications.

Furthermore, the new 752-page volume presents technical descriptions so design engineers have a comprehensive, up-to-date reference for selecting the appropriate aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

Mastering High Voltage: The Importance of Accurate Test Equipment

This whitepaper underscores that precise calibration of high-voltage test gear — especially when measuring 1 kV–150 kV systems — is essential for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. It details measurement techniques (voltage dividers, step-down transformers, etc.), the impact of environmental and connection factors on accuracy, and why traceable calibration (e.g. to NIST / A2LA) is a must to ensure consistent, reliable results.
