Company recalls single cup coffee makers

Importer Jerdon Style, LLC of Richardson, TX is recalling about 6000 of its one-cup coffee makers manufactured in China.

Jerdon Style says that the recalled coffeemaker model can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. In a notice filed with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the company reports that it has received four reports of coffeemakers overheating, but no reports of injuries.

The recalled coffeemakers were sold through hotel and motel product suppliers and through major online retailers from July 2012 through January 2013 for between $15 and $26.
