Cobham AvComm, formerly Aeroflex AvComm business unit, announced at the  International Wireless Communications Expo 2015 an agreement with Tait Communications to provide automated test capabilities for Tait P25 series radios on the Cobham 3920B Digital Radio Test Set. Initial test capabilities will be focused on the Tait TP9100 and TM9100 series radios. The program will be later expanded to provide automated testing of Tait TP9400 and TM9400 series radios.

With a proven track record for speed and accuracy, this application uses the precision instrumentation with the 3920B to quickly perform automated tests to specifications defined by the manufacturer. Testing can now be performed in much less time, minimizing service and support costs for end users and dealers.

“Cobham AvComm is eager to support automated test capabilities for Tait P25 Series radios,” said Rob Barden, Director, Product Marketing for Cobham AvComm. “Since the 3920B provides fully automated tests, Tait’s dealers and end users will be able to perform fast, repeatable and very accurate test functions with minimal technical interaction.”

Ellery Hurn, Product Manager Partner Solutions at Tait Communications added: “We work closely with our partners to strengthen our portfolio of solutions and meet our clients’ evolving needs. We are pleased to be working with Cobham AvComm on this testing application, which will provide additional value to our clients and further strengthen our Tait Tough reputation for endurance and resilience.”
