Chroma Adds 600V LED Simulating DC Load Module to Test LED Drivers

Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. announced the release of the new 63115A LED Simulating DC Electronic Load. This new 10A/600V/300W module is an addition to Chroma’s line of the industry’s first LED simulating 63110A/13A electronic loads.

The 63110A/13A/15A loads are specifically designed to simulate LED characteristics in order to test the functions of LED drivers. Not only can it test in stable conditions, it can also test turn on, PWM dimming characteristics of the LED driver and the Rd value can be adjusted according to the LED V-I curve making it an unmatched load choice for LED driver testing.

Mastering High Voltage: The Importance of Accurate Test Equipment

This whitepaper underscores that precise calibration of high-voltage test gear — especially when measuring 1 kV–150 kV systems — is essential for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. It details measurement techniques (voltage dividers, step-down transformers, etc.), the impact of environmental and connection factors on accuracy, and why traceable calibration (e.g. to NIST / A2LA) is a must to ensure consistent, reliable results.
