Breakthrough in Battery Technology | In Compliance Magazine

Researchers improved existing lithium-ion technology to develop the next generation lithium-ion battery that can charge twenty times faster and last twenty times longer than current lithium-ion batteries.

The new technology replaces graphite in the lithium-ion battery anode with a titanium dioxide gel. The gel was converted to nanostructures that provided the capability to increase the charging process. A lithium-ion battery could be recharged to 70 percent in two minutes and last 20 years. The research team is working to bring this advancement to market within the next two years.
