Visonic Inc. has recalled more than 29,000 Vision Amber Pendants MCT-212 GS LA S (315) ENR and Visonic Amber Kits GS LA (315) KIT2 due to an accelerated circuit drain of the pendant battery. The issue can lead to a decreased battery life and reducing the “low battery” warning period from 30 days to nine days.
These personal emergency response systems send a request for assistance to emergency personnel when a button is pushed on the pendant. The recalled pendants were sold separately and have a part number 0-102511 listed on a label on the back of the pendant. Recalled pendants sold in a kit have model number 0-102371. The ranges of serial numbers included in the recall are listed on the CPSC’s website. The systems were leased by Life Alert Emergency Response between May 2013 and June 2014. Consumers with recalled pendants should immediately contact Visonic or their alarm service provider to request a replacement pendant.
