The South Korean Hanwha Eagles baseball team has added a section of robots to help improve the mood at baseball games. Over the past five years, the team has consistently been in last place and has lost over 400 games.
Hanwha fans can interact with the robots from the comfort of their home by controlling some of the robot’s movements. Fans can also upload a picture of their face to be displayed on one of the robot’s face. The robots coordinate group cheers to motivate the crowd to get involved in cheering on the team.
