Two bills allowing the testing of autonomous cars on Michigan state roads are awaiting the Governor’s signature before they’re passed into law. They were both passed almost unanimously approved by both chambers in the Michigan state legislature.
The passing of these two new bills will set the groundwork to make self-driving cars more than just a dream. As part of the bills, testing would need to take place with a driver present in the car in case of an emergency and the car equipped with a special license plate.
