AT4 wireless is proud to announce the extension of its Wi-Fi Alliance Authorized Test Lab scope by adding Passpoint and Wi-Fi Direct certification programs.

Passpoint is a Wi-Fi Alliance certification program that that recently added new features including an online sign-up mechanism that improves usability. Passpoint certified devices are able to provide immediate account provisioning, introducing automated credentials, as well as an operator policy to select the best Wi-Fi network to join when multiple networks are available.

Wi-Fi Direct was also recently enhanced with new features that use a set of standardized services to provide a better user experience. Wi-Fi Direct certified devices are capable to connect among themselves directly with improved device-to-device interoperability. Both recognitions complete the certification testing portfolio that AT4 wireless provides to Wi-Fi manufacturers.

Precision Control in Semiconductor Wafer Lapping

Vitrek’s application note details how MTI’s Accumeasure™ uses non-contact, push-pull capacitance probes for real-time, sub-micron thickness monitoring during semiconductor wafer lapping—even in electrically noisy, ungrounded environments. Automated alerts prevent over-thinning, improving yield consistency, precision, and process safety.
