Aquarium Heaters Recalled by PetSmart for Electric Shock Hazard

My Fish Tank

PetSmart has recalled 33,000 Top Fin brand plastic aquarium heaters because the heaters are not sufficiently grounded and pose an electrical shock hazard. They were sold in stores nationwide from March 2014 to April 2014.

The recall includes all 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 watt heaters with model numbers HT50, HT100, HT150, HT200, or HT250. Only specific lots are included in the recall, 1839, 1901, 1903, 1904, 1907, 1908, and 1910. Consumers with recalled heaters should remove the unit from the aquarium and return it to any PetSmart store for a full refund.
