Giggles International recalls animated toy monkey, sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel stores, because the battery compartment can overheat and pose a burn hazard. Two incidents of the battery compartment overheating and melting have been reported.
The Animated Sing-Along Monkey is made of brown and beige plush material and stands about 9″ tall. The recalled monkeys were manufactured between 6/7/2014 and 7/5/2014 and have batch code GP1410028. The date code can be located on the bottom of the fabric label attached near the base of the monkey’s tail. Consumers should remove the batteries from the toy and return it to any Cracker Barrel Old Country Store or contact Giggles International for a full refund.
