Acopian Power Supplies has announced the UL recognition and CE approval of their mini encapsulated series of linear regulated power supplies. The AC-DC power supply series is encapsulated in an ultra-compact, low profile housing to provide the ultimate in environmental protection in space-limited applications. Featuring excellent regulation and ripple parameters, the single and dual tracking output devices are provided with screw terminal connections. The modules feature regulated voltage outputs ranging from 1 V to 75V DC, current as high as 2.5 A, and an output power range of 0.5 W to 14 W.
Boasting a 3.5″ x 2.5″ footprint, and linear operation to minimize output noise, Acopian’s high performance power supplies are ideal for use on a test bench or tabletop, and are particularly suited for computer room, test equipment, analog systems, aircraft, hand-held machine tools, and R&D applications. They moreover are constructed with a thermal barrier running through the module, which isolates the heat-generating components from the more sensitive components to further ensure optimal performance.
The power supplies include short circuit protection and may be used in series. They are provided standard with an input range of 105 to 125 VAC, 47 to 420 Hz single phase and may optionally be supplied with an input range of 210 to 250 VAC, 47 to 420 Hz. Modules offer 3K VAC isolation, while line and load regulation is +/-0.2% to +/-0.05%, and +/-0.05% to +/- 0.25% respectively. Output and ripple noise is 1 mV.
Acopian’s mini encapsulated power supplies’ operating temperature range is -20 to +71 °C without derating, and storage temperature range is -55 to +85 °C. By connecting an external resistor to the T/C terminal, users can trim the output precisely to the nominal voltage. Typically, the parts’ feature a temperature coefficient of 0.015%/°C for 9 V to 75 V output ranges, and 0.03%/°C for 1 V to 8 V output ranges. Output impedance is approximately 0.07 Ohms at 1 kHz and 0.2 Ohms at 10 kHz. Modules may be wall or DIN rail mounted.
