AccuPure Water Dispensers Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazard

Nestlé Waters North America Inc. of Stamford, CT is issuing a recall of about 10,900 AccuPure countertop filtered water dispensers. The water dispensers can overheat, causing internal parts to melt and smoke, posing burn and fire hazards. There have been seven reports of parts melting, smoking or burning. No injuries have yet been reported.

The water dispensers were sold and rented to businesses nationwide for consumer use from January 2013 to May 2016 as part of individual service contracts that Nestlé Waters has with these customers.  A limited number of units were purchased by these customers for a list price of $599.99. The model number is HCB215n and is printed on the back of the water dispensers.

Customers should stop using the water dispenser and unplug the unit. Nestlé Waters is contacting affected customers directly to schedule installation of a free replacement unit. Customers with questions should contact Nestlé Waters.
