Trace McInturff, A2LA VP of Accreditation Services, has been elected as the first Chair of the Global Accreditation Cooperation, Inc. Arrangement Management Committee (AMC). This will enable Trace to serve on the Executive Committee for at least the next three years and help to shape this new organization from the start.
Starting January 1, 2026, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) merged to create this new organization, the Global Accreditation Cooperation, Inc. This new organization serves as the next step in creating a more unified system and providing a clearer path for global recognition.
“I am tremendously honored to have been named the first Chair of the Global Accreditation Cooperation, Inc. Arrangement Committee,” said Trace. “I am excited to continue the good work that we have been conducting in the Joint Management Committee of ILAC and IAF and to work with the new Executive Committee to shape the new organization in its infancy.”
