Keysight Technologies Begins Trading as Independent Company | In Compliance Magazine

Keysight Technologies, Inc. has announced that its separation from Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:A) has been completed. The newly independent company will begin “regular-way” trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on November 3, 2014 under the ticker symbol KEYS.

As an independent company, the top opportunities within the electronic measurement market are now the top opportunities for Keysight,” said Ron Nersesian, Keysight president and CEO. “With a 75-year heritage of market and technology leadership and our strong business model, we look forward to delivering superior value to our customers and shareholders.”

Keysight’s separation from Agilent occurred on November 1, 2014 through a distribution of 100 percent of the outstanding common stock of Keysight to Agilent shareholders of record as of the close of business on October 22, 2014.  Agilent shareholders of record received one share of Keysight common stock for every two shares of Agilent common stock they held. Approximately 167.5 million shares of Keysight common stock were distributed on November 1, 2014 to Agilent shareholders.
